The St. Croix Valley Music Teachers Association is a very welcoming and supportive local association that strives to promote professional growth, and encourages its members to seek more, to grow within the discipline, and to challenge themselves and their students to the highest standards of musicianship.

SCVMTA is a diverse group of music educators with multiple disciplines inclusive of piano, strings, voice, and woodwind.  Members of SCVMTA also have  affiliation with and support the standards of Wisconsin Music Teachers Association (WMTA), and Music Teachers National Association (MTNA).  

Benefits of WMTA include district auditions, an opportunity for students to work towards awards in either competitive or non-competitive  divisions.  WMTA state conferences offer opportunity  to attend master classes, continuing education classes, performances and explore new repertoire, while enjoying fraternity and collaboration among colleagues.  

Benefits of MTNA membership include a yearly national conference with world renowned performers and pedagogues, MTNA's national certification program,  MTNA's highly respected national student competitions, and multiple member services.
